A Cannock Chase resident has recently been in touch after viewing an image of her home on Google Street View. What started out as a harmless bit of fun soon turned into understandable fear when she noticed what seems to be a topless male apparition in her bedroom window. Zooming in to take a closer look, we see the ghostly figure also has a face and appears to be looking directly at the camera.
Now, there are lots and lots of apparent "spirit photos" online that can be viewed by anyone with the inclination, but this one, I'm sure you'll agree, really makes you think.
I'm currently looking into the history of this property in the hope of coming to some conclusions about who, or what this strange image could represent. While it might look like a ghost initially, I'm a little concerned we could be dealing with something demonic. I will be speaking with the owner of this property again (who is noticeably shaken by the photograph) later on this week, and we will hopefully come to some kind of arrangement whereby I will be allowed to perform a more thorough investigation.
Paranormal investigator Lee Brickley has a new book available about the paranormal happenings on Cannock Chase. Read it here: UK Link - US Link or click the book cover below!
Please feel free to leave comments with your opinions on this one guys. To be honest, I can't see how it could possibly be a reflection or anything inside the room misrepresenting itself through the lens.
Also, get in touch with me at leebrickleyauthor@gmail.com if you feel you have anything to contribute.
Please share the arse off this post on your social media pages. Hopefully someone might come through with some information.
Cheers guys!
wow strange stuff! x
ReplyDeletePareidolia? Just a thought :)
ReplyDeleteMy immediate thought as well... It certainly looks like a shirtless man with a reasonably nice body, but it also looks like a reflection & since we do not know what was possibly reflected in the window (leaves on a tree? Distortion through old/uneven glass?) It is impossible to know...
Deletejust a reflection of a statue in the garden i believe, look at the 2 windows to the left i think the reflection also shows a statue, no paranormal mystery here.
ReplyDeleteI'd say it looks more like a woman's figure and face, with some sense of longish hair hanging down, and hard to translate into a reflection of anything from outside, let alone inside. The history of this house could have some interesting threads.
ReplyDeletea reflection of branches and crap in a window pane does not a ghost make
ReplyDeleteSounds like a really good story to explain how the Google Maps car caught that shirtless guy in her house while her husband was at the office.
ReplyDeleteUm maybe but it is a pretty defined figure. Not saying it is a ghost or demon, but what is it?
ReplyDeleteDoes it have to automatically be demonic? It could just as well be a human. I won't say it isn't one but they usually do not take that form.
ReplyDeleteThat image could be a whole host of things, from sun light against an object in the room, to refraction off the glass... Whether its supernatural or not, it is dangerous and irresponsible to suggest anything else, especially a "demon". If this is just a plan to get into the house, make an investigation of it and make a name for yourself in the process, then you need to reconsider your actions, as i find them, in themselves, troubling. Thanks for letting me comment.
ReplyDeletea 1920's lady
ReplyDeleteIts a body of some kind not a reflection from the garden ..having said this she say a Google Street View? so she is say less than 300 yard from the highway?
ReplyDeleteIt appears to be something inside the room which by chance, appears to look vaguely human - pareidolia, as another respondent said. This photo was posted 3 months ago - presumably you have now visited the house and checked for things in the garden which could have been reflected, items in the house eg the back of an armchair which could have had a crumpled white item hanging over it, etc.? What was the outcome of your investigations?
ReplyDeleteUsing Occams Razor I would suggest it's more likely to be a reflection or the ladies fancy man rather than a beast from hell.
ReplyDeleteIts a reflection or paradolia
ReplyDeleteLooking closely, this image appears to resemble a white/light coloured dog with black markings peering out of the window over the back of a chair. Maybe it would be a good idea to ask the homeowner if they have such a dog before beginning any paranormal investigations.
