BRAND NEW: Pig-man Sighting On Cannock Chase

Hi guys!

I was contacted today by a gentleman who lives in the Walsall area concerning a sighing of the pig-man that dates back to 2006. It's an interesting story I'm sure you'd all like to hear. For that reason, I have chosen to publish it unedited here today.

Please feel free to comment or get in touch if you have questions or similar sightings to report. The man concerned will see this blog post and most likely answer any comments you might make. I found this to be a rather compelling story, and I'm certain you will too.

It was about 2004, three of us decided to camp on Cannock Chase. Myself another lad and a lady. We decided to bike there, the lady overestimating her ability. Took us hours to get there. When we arrived it was dark and we forgot the torches. We were by the big communication tower at Pye Green. We say three flashing lights above some trees on a path called dead mans walk. We agreed to set up tents there so we had light. So we did. From exhaustion from a 6hr bike ride we all just fell to sleep. When we woke up we questioned these 3 flashing lights as there was nothing electrical around. Nothing else strange happened we went home having a good time.

We new that was a UFO. Not saying aliens but defiantly never seen any thing like it before. So we told quite a few people, and went back on many occasions spanning around 2 years, to see if we could find anything else. We saw nothing.

We caped there one Friday night rough around 2006. Just a sheet in the trees. Prob about 5 of us. I had a lift there by one of my mates. They all had work Saturday so planned to go back early. Friday night we were quit close to the road. We had a fire burning for warmth and light. The police pulled up and told us to put it out. Me being me I told them no. They got in there cars and drove off. Which I thought was strange, that's never happened to me before. So next day the lads went to work. They were planning to come back and camp the night again after work. I decided to stay on my own. Move all stuff deeper into the forest, as not to attract police attention again. I was there 5hrs on my own. I sent up 3 tents put sheets in the trees, built a surround to stop the wind, got all the fire wood ready, it was a master piece. 2 of my friends came for me and said no one was up for stopping the night. I was pi**ed off. All that stuff was mine. Around £600 worth. And I was to just leave it in a forest unattended. Wasn't happy.

I'm not easily frightened. I spent 5hrs alone in that forest that day with no fear. I had an eighteen inch razor sharp machete. I know sounds a bit sinister but we are all responsible adults that were there. And you never know when you might need one.

So that night I rang every one I knew to get to come back with me so my stuff wasn't left. No one wanted to. So I decided I'm doing it. I'm gonna camp there on my own. I got a book i was reading and of I went. I pulled up in my car where we had originally seen the UFO. I walked casually across the road. There was a tall bush you had to walk through to get on the path. I suddenly clicked and said to myself. Your on your own now, be a bit more wise and cautious. So I stopped in the center of this large bush and light a fag. I listened and heard movement. I slowly and quietly moved out of the bush and round expecting to see a big deer. In stead about 200 yards away from me(I was looking down a hill) I saw a white figure on all fours, looked like it was sniffing the ground, as a dog would if you were walking down a street covers in lamp posts. First I thought its the warden. He's found the stuff and is looking for us with his dog. But the sound it was making sounded more like a pig sniffing. So I thought it was a large boar. Was the right colour to be a pig. I watched it for about 30 seconds trying to determine it. Then it stopped dead, didn't move. I knew it now knew I was there. I froze, took hold of my machete and waited. Then this thing stood up on it's back legs. It was massive. I'm 6'3 this thing was at least 7ft tall. And it ran at me at speed up the hill, like a person would run. Squalling like a banshee you would hear on a horror film crossed with a pig. I ran like a b**ch got in my car and drove off without looking back. Iv never been so scared in my life. I have been back since, but never on my own.

The funny thing iv never heard of any one knowing or any other proof of it till last year. Can't believe I'm not the only one to see, this. Typical I see something after 2 years of trying when I was on my own. I have proof of the lights in the trees. I have 2 other eye witnesses to that. I have no proof of the pig man other than believe me or not.

One other thing I missed about the first time was, as we were riding our bikes towards the lights each of us felt a massive drop in temperature. Only way to describe it would be to walk into a big meat freeze, instantly ,extremely cold.

As you can see, that's a pretty amazing story that sounds spooky as hell. We all know the story of the Cannock Chase pig-man and how he allegedly came into being, but reading yet another detailed sighting report from a local resident still chills us to the bone.

I wonder whether anyone will ever manage to get a picture? Who knows.

Google Street View Reveals Paranormal Presence In Cannock Chase Home

A Cannock Chase resident has recently been in touch after viewing an image of her home on Google Street View. What started out as a harmless bit of fun soon turned into understandable fear when she noticed what seems to be a topless male apparition in her bedroom window. Zooming in to take a closer look, we see the ghostly figure also has a face and appears to be looking directly at the camera. 

Now, there are lots and lots of apparent "spirit photos" online that can be viewed by anyone with the inclination, but this one, I'm sure you'll agree, really makes you think. 

I'm currently looking into the history of this property in the hope of coming to some conclusions about who, or what this strange image could represent. While it might look like a ghost initially, I'm a little concerned we could be dealing with something demonic. I will be speaking with the owner of this property again (who is noticeably shaken by the photograph) later on this week, and we will hopefully come to some kind of arrangement whereby I will be allowed to perform a more thorough investigation.

Paranormal Activity Stafford

Yesterday this clip was sent to me by the guy who runs a Facebook group called "New Spotted Stafford". Usually, videos of orbs in peoples homes don't really impress me, but as this one comes from a gentleman who lives in a city that boarders Cannock Chase, and as he is a relatively reliable source, I thought i'd post it on the blog and see what people make of it.

You might have to watch the video on full screen to see the objects, but I think it will be worth it.

As these type of clips go, I think this is quite a convincing one, the orbs appear to be moving too fast to be dust particles, and they're movements are too linear to be smoke. 

Could this really be evidence of paranormal activity in whatever form?

Unmanned Drone At Castle Ring

The Iron Age monument at Castle Ring on Cannock Chase has long been an area associated with unusual and unexplained happenings. Werewolves and other monsters are heard and even spotted at the hilltop location almost every year, leaving many local residents fearful of treading on the ancient site after dark. With UFO sightings also occurring there on a monthly basis, I place the ancient site at number one on the Cannock Chase weird list.

A friend uploaded this video to YouTube yesterday and it sincerely blew my mind. It has always been very difficult to accurately describe the Castle Ring monument as it is so damn big. Although there are a few aerial photographs knocking around online, non of them really show the site as a whole, and non of them seem to capture the atmosphere of the location - this video does!

So, give it a watch, and if like me, you think it is a fantastic clip, spread it around.

It Fell From The Sky

A Cannock Chase resident took this photograph during a particularly bad downpour. She claimed the creature fell out of the sky and landed in her garden. Not recognizing the species, and perplexed by the origin of this alien-looking beast, I was contacted. 

Luckily, thanks to great minds like DR Karl Shuker, the creature was soon identified as a Hawk-moth Caterpillar. This one was apparently ready to shed his skin which helps explain the strange colour and eye shape.

Although the lady believed it had fallen out of the sky (certainly not impossible) it seems much more likely that it fell from a tree in the garden during the heavy rain and lightening.

I didn't really much know about these odd little guys before, but thanks to the picture and the curiosity it caused, you'll be glad to know i'm now a fountain of Hawk-moth knowledge. 

And in other "thunderstorm-related" news....

Over the last few days, with the summer rain falling hard on England, I had a strange feeling that some UFO reports might come in, and it seems I was right....

Local news website Connect Cannock has reported on a UFO sighting from only a few days ago. Although details are sketchy at the moment, I have contacted them and am currently waiting for the witness to get in touch. I hope i'll be able to uncover some more details for you within the next few days, but until then, here is what we know so far:

And now one man has reportedly solved the mystery of the nightmarish Pig-Man.

Lee Brickley has spent over a decade researching and hearing first-hand accounts of the Pig-Man, according to the Birmingham Mail. His findings are now published in his new book on strange phenomena, "UFO's, Werewolves And The Pig-Man."

In it, Brickley explains that the Pig-Man is less of a diabolical, disgusting humanoid and more of an urban myth.

Close Encounter 1954 - Staffordshire

I came across this video a couple of years ago, and have never been able to discover the identity of the lady witness. It is a clip from a show called "Out Of This World", first broadcast on the BBC in 1977. Although I imagine the woman above may not be with us anymore, she talks about her sons who were apparently also present during this otherworldly "encounter". 

There must be lots of people out there who are familiar with this story, and possibly many who know the lady's identity - so if that's you, get in touch, I'm interested....

When you watch the video I'm almost certain you will agree that: at the very least, this lady believes she is telling the truth about her experience. In fact, if she is lying about the whole thing, the acting job being undertaken is truly worthy of a golden globe. 

It is not clear from the video how close to Cannock Chase the sighting took place, but the program does state "Staffordshire" and from the visible scenery in this video, it looks suspiciously close by. 

She speaks of seeing a "huge Mexican hat" shaped craft, manned by two beautiful, golden haired, Nordic type beings, hovering above her house whilst her children were present. To me, she seems relatively trustworthy and this makes her account incredibly fascinating.

Return Of The Black Eyed Children

Some of you may remember an article I posted on this blog a couple of month's ago about an encounter my auntie had with a black eyed child on Cannock Chase in the early 1980's. Well, yesterday whilst sifting through my email inbox I came across a very interesting message from another local lady who claims to have seen this terrifying entity in the woods. I had to write an article on this, not least because the sighting is so similar to my aunties encounter over 30 years ago.

Mrs Kelly (pseudonym) relays that:

“.....around 2 months ago my daughter and I were walking through Birches Valley (an area well known for it's spectral sightings) when we heard the screams of a young child. I couldn't tell if it was a boy or a girl, but they definitely seemed in distress and sounded very close to us, so we instantly started running towards the noise. We couldn't find the child anywhere and so stopped to catch our breath, that's when I turned round and saw a girl stood behind me, no more than 10 years old, with her hands over her eyes, like she was waiting for a birthday cake. I asked if she was okay and if she had been the one screaming, she then put her arms down by her side and opened her eyes, which is when I saw they were completely black, no iris, no white, nothing. I jumped back and grabbed my daughter, when I looked again, the child was gone. It was strange really, I knew something was going to happen, even before it did, I just had a weird feeling.....”

So what is it about these black eyed kids? Where do they come from?

Well, if you look around on the internet and read a few books you'll find many different theories as to their origins. Some people believe them to be extra terrestrials, vampires, ghosts and even inter-dimensional entities, but there is one immense difference between the sightings of black eyed children around the world and the stories coming out of Cannock Chase: only on Cannock Chase do the sightings consistently happen during the daytime.

In the U.S many reports suggest that black eyed children often appear in groups, regularly knocking at the door's of unknowing victims and asking quietly if they may “come inside”. Some other stories tell the tale of these devilish children appearing in the back-seats of cars when a driver is travelling alone at midnight, or walking around on empty early morning streets asking anyone around for help, but I wonder what would happen if you offered them your assistance? What would happen if you let them inside your house? Not many people know, but there are a few reports knocking around, like this one, originally posted in pararational.com:

“......so I let them in, the one who needed the toilet just walked in and straight up the stairs so I shouted up its on the right, I don’t know why I didn't find this strange but most toilets are upstairs and as he was young I didn't think anything of it. I told the other one that the phone was down the hall, “thanks” he said and he started to walk down the hall, I followed him and then I suddenly came over with a really awful feeling like something bad was going to happen, I became very nervous and a bit shaky I still cant explain how that happened, the boy stopped at the phone and paused, “everything OK?” I asked, he turned to me and looked up and that’s when I saw his eyes, and trust me I will never get that picture out of my head, I was so scared that I couldn't even scream as I turned to run down the hall the other kid was standing at the end." 

"I became very dizzy and struggled to stand up, he walked closer to me and said that they had been sent to collect me, I still couldn't bear to look into his face, I pushed away from him and ran into my front room and slammed the door shut, I was in so much shock about what was happening I couldn't think straight, this is something that you don’t even expect to happen even in movies. After standing against the door for around and hour or so I finally got the courage to make a run for the back door, so I ran to it and unlocked it, I ran to the back of my garden and jumped over the fence not once looking back.....”

Very frightening indeed.....

Of all the paranormal phenomena experienced on Cannock Chase, black eyed children have to be the most eerie by far. The only advice I could offer anyone who comes across these unhallowed, unrelenting and unsympathetic strays is: start running while you still can!
